(Web Desk) Colonel Ihsan Daqsa, the commander of the 401st Armored Brigade of the Israeli army, was killed during the fighting with the Palestinian resistance in the northern Gaza Strip.
This was confirmed by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in an ongoing statement. According to foreign media reports, 41-year-old Colonel Ehsan Daqsa is among the most senior officers of the Israeli army who died in the ongoing fighting in Gaza.
According to the report, a total of 6 IDF colonels, including Col. Ehsan Daqsa, have been killed so far, four of whom were killed during the October 7 attack.
According to the IDF, Col. Ihsan Daqsa got out of his tank in Jablia with other officers and walked a few meters to a place where a land mine hit. As a result, Daqsa was killed on the spot. In the blast, a battalion commander and two other officers were seriously injured, one of whom is in critical condition.

Colonel Ehsan Daqsa took command of the 401st Battalion in June, and on October 7, although he was off duty, he went to southern Israel to fight Hamas.
Col. Ehsan Daqsa was awarded an award by the head of the Northern Command in 2006 for rescuing wounded paratroopers in the battle of Aita al-Shaab during the Second Lebanon War.
