Amrita Fadnavis on the red carpet at this year’s Cannes Film Festival in France. Amrita Khan came to the stage to create awareness about food security and health. Amrita is the wife of Devendra Fadnavis, a prominent BJP leader and former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition in Maharashtra.

Amrita Fadnavis, 43, was born in Nagpur. He graduated from GS College of Commerce and Economics, Nagpur with an MBA and a degree in Taxation Law from Symbiosis Law School, Pune. Amrita joined Axis Bank in 2002 and is currently the Vice President of the bank. He was married to Amrita Devendra Fadnavis in 2005. They have a daughter, Divija.
Amrita was also a singer who excelled in tennis during her studies. She has sung in films like Jai Gangajal and Sangharsh Yatra. Amrita’s Firzai album with Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan was seen by over seven lakh people in a single day. Amrita has caused controversy, making a significant presence in many voluntary and other public events.
Amrita’s pictures of herself posing dangerously to take a selfie at the inauguration of India’s first luxury cruise liner Angria in 2018 were controversial. Amrita continued to take selfies despite security personnel telling her to move to a safer place. Amrita apologized after the news broke.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. India has also been selected as the Country of Honor by Cannes.
