Russian astronomer Alexander Ivanov, head of the KubSU Astrophysical Observatory, took a picture of an asteroid approaching Earth with a diameter of 800 meters.
The Telegram network of the International Network of Optical Telescopes at the Institute of Applied Mathematics KIAM & ISON confirmed that astronomers are following this asteroid, which has a speed of 24.6 km per second, indicating that it will approach Earth to a distance of 4.6 million km on February 16.
It should be noted that the accurate indicators of the asteroid will allow determining its movement trajectory and assessing its danger to Earth in the medium term. (Russia Today)
