Initiated under the theme “rational use of water, everyone’s responsibility”, the campaign, which will be launched Monday morning from the Imouzzer Kandar camp, aims to raise awareness among children of the need to save water and rationalize its use as a strategic resource, the agency said in a statement.
The event, which is part of the ongoing process of raising awareness of the importance of preserving water resources and rationalizing their use, also aims to raise awareness among young people about the good management of water resources in order to contribute to the emergence of a responsible generation concerned with preserving this precious resource for the benefit of future generations.
This caravan, organized in cooperation and coordination with local authorities as well as the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication in the provinces of Sefrou and Ifrane, will also benefit the municipal campsite of Imouzzer ( July 30) and at the Ras El Maa camp in Ifrane (July 31), the press release specifies.
The Agency indicated that it used a series of important and varied means of communication to make this campaign a success, in particular by printing and distributing posters and brochures.
This caravan will also include the organization of entertainment activities, workshops on the digital space and cultural competitions for the benefit of children with important information on how to rationalize water consumption and encourage them to contribute to the preservation of water resources, adds the same source.
The Agency recalls that Morocco has been living for six years in a “difficult situation” characterized by the scarcity of water resources and water stress due to the lack of precipitation and the growing demand for this vital substance, subject to overexploitation, risks pollution and the various effects of climate change.
