On Monday morning, the Israeli army said in a statement that the soldier, “Itai Azoulay, was killed in battles on the Lebanese border,” without giving further details.

Israeli police said early Monday morning that missiles fired by Hezbollah fell on Haifa, the third largest city in Israel, wounding ten people in northern Israel.

Israeli media reported that two missiles fell on Haifa, overlooking the Mediterranean coast of Israel, while five missiles fell on Tiberias, 65 kilometers away, while Israeli Army Radio reported, on Monday morning, that there was serious damage to a number of properties as a result of a missile falling in the Western Galilee. .

For their part, Israeli platforms and media outlets published scenes documenting the interception of a number of missiles and the sound of explosions with sirens sounding in the towns of Upper and Western Galilee in northern Israel.

On the other hand, the Israeli army announced, early this morning, the interception of two drones launched from the east after sirens sounded in the central areas of Rishon Lezion and Palmachim, on the first anniversary of the October 7 attacks.

For its part, Hezbollah announced today, Monday, that it targeted the Karmiel settlement with a missile launcher, while Israeli media reported that 15 missiles were monitored from Lebanon towards the north.

The Ynet website said, “Fifteen launches were identified towards the north as part of the recent bombardment towards Karmiel and the Western Galilee. Most of them were intercepted, and the rest exploded in open areas.”

Israeli Channel 12 reported that classes had been suspended and some schools in the city had switched to a distance education system following the fall of the missiles.

Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee renewed his warning to all residents of Lebanese villages who evacuated their homes, saying: “The IDF raids continue.” For your safety and the safety of your family members – do not return home until further notice.

According to official figures, 2,044 people were killed and 9,678 were injured since the beginning of the mutual bombing on October 8, 2023, including 1,212 dead and 3,427 wounded, and more than 1.2 million displaced, since Israel began waging a wide-scale war on Lebanon on September 23 until yesterday evening, Sunday.
