A member of the temporary administrative body of Al-Zawraa Sports Club,Ghaith Abdul-Ghani,confirmed that the administration has not yet taken a decision regarding releasing the team’s players to join the national team and participate in the upcoming Gulf Cup tournament.
Abdul-Ghani told the (INA), today, Wednesday: “The administration will hold a meeting soon with the technical staff of the Al-Zawraa team, to discuss the issue and make the final decision in line with the coach’s vision, as he is the primary responsible for the team.”
Abdel-Ghani added, “The current administrative body took over the team in difficult circumstances and a transitional period, adding that it provided material, moral, and technical support to the players and the technical staff.”
Abdel-Ghani explained, “The interim authority formed a technical committee to study ways to develop the team’s level and raise its performance during the next stage, stressing the administration’s efforts to rearrange the club’s conditions, despite the challenges it faces due to the “heavy legacy” it received, through the support of the Olympic Committee and the fans. “In order for the Seagulls team to return to its natural position as a strong competitor in all tournaments.”
