Dhaka University Chhatra Dal leader Tariqul Islam has expressed his anger at not getting a place in the new committee of Nationalist Chhatra Dal.

In a post on Facebook on Saturday (March 2), he created a slide video with a few pictures from his political life. Where he highlighted the overall activities of his political life.

Tariqul was the joint general secretary of the Dhaka University branch Chhatra Dal and Salimullah Muslim was the general secretary of the Chhatra Dal.

In a post on Facebook, Tariqul wrote, “Even though I don’t have a place in the organization, that organization is not mine, not mine, not mine!” Please do not talk about politics from today!

Then he gave another post. There he announced that he would not join the Chhatra Dal, highlighting the sacrifice of his political life. Below is Tariqul Islam’s Facebook post for RisingBD readers:

I have given everything except my life to this organization. I cheated myself, cheated my talent and ability, cheated my family, separated from my family for many years. Being one of the highest scorers in the university, there is no leave behind the job, although if not for politics, I could have easily become a teacher in any public university.’

He also wrote, ‘Repeatedly subjected to physical and mental torture by the Chhatra League and police, more than 60 bullet wounds in different parts of the body in face-to-face with the police, could have even resulted in death. I am still carrying nine bullets in my body with excruciating pain. Even after doing so much, I do not have a place in the organization, that organization is not mine.’

It should be noted that recently the committee led by President Rashed Iqbal Khan and General Secretary Saif Mahmud Jewel was dissolved and a new partial committee of 7 members of nationalist students was approved. Tarikul made this announcement without getting a position in that committee.
