An adequate response to the situation of tension that is developing on the borders of Belarus, as well as within the framework of strengthening the air defense forces on combat duty to protect the country’s air borders, took over the 6th anti-aircraft missile division. BelTA informs about this on Saturday, referring to the military department of the Republic of Belarus.

“We have strengthened the composition of the air defense duty forces of our anti-aircraft missile formations and military units. This is an adequate response to the situation that is developing around the air borders of Belarus,” confirmed Major General Igor Golub, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces.

He noted, in particular, a significant increase in the intensity of flights of both combat and reconnaissance aircraft near the borders of the Republic of Belarus. Over the past week alone, he said, more than 60 such flights were recorded.

In this regard, the general clarified that the troops “carried out a ritual of interceding on combat duty of an anti-aircraft missile battalion, checked forces and means and will carry out tasks to protect the air borders and the peaceful sky over Minsk.”
