Apple Inc. Plans to Launch New Products Next Year to Boost Sales

Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday (December 7) that Apple Company Inc. is planning to launch several new products early next year to help boost slumping sales. The new products include the MacBook Air with M3 chips and two updated iPad models.

According to the report, Apple will launch the new iPad Air in two sizes for the first time, while the iPad Pro will have an OLED screen and the MacBook Air will come with a faster M3 chip. However, Apple has not yet commented on the matter.

The sales of Apple’s Mac and iPad families have fallen for several quarters in a row, accounting for nearly 15% of total revenue. Chronic inflation and rising borrowing costs have pressured consumers to cut back on luxury spending.

Apple’s 1Q2024 sales forecast for November is lower than Wall Street’s estimates, as demand for iPads and wearables slumps and Apple’s Mac business faces a broader downturn in the personal computer market.

Bloomberg news agency reported that Apple is likely to launch the iPad at the end of March next year, and is working to improve the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard for the Pro line of products.
