Apple’s data glasses ”Vision Pro” were not very triumphant, and now the company is planning a new product: a foldable iPad. Another device is also expected to appear soon.
Apple is developing a huge foldable iPad that could come onto the market in 2028, reports the US news portal “Bloomberg”. When opened, the device should have a 20-inch display, which is roughly the size of two iPad Pros next to each other.
Apple wants to avoid the crease in the middle of the display that is visible on previous devices from other manufacturers. Rather, the crease is said to be “almost invisible.” It is not yet certain weather this can actually be implemented technically.
according to Bloomberg, it is not known which operating system will run on Apple’s giant iPad. It will probably be the iPad operating system iPadOS or a variant of it. An adapted version of the Mac operating system macOS is also conceivable.
In addition to the foldable iPad,Apple is also developing another product: the Magic Mouse. The input device was brought onto the market in 2009 and has hardly changed as then. According to “Bloomberg”, Apple designers are currently busy modernizing the input device’s appearance.
The device has been repeatedly criticized. For some users, the mouse was too heavy or too unergonomic. Others criticized the fact that the only button required a lot of effort to operate. Apple also placed the charging port on the bottom of the mouse, which was also criticized because the device cannot be used while charging.
