Apple will remove the physical ​SIM card tray from new⁤ smartphones⁣ in 2025.

According to insiders, the ​company⁢ is developing the iPhone 17‌ Air – it is expected that ​this will be the‌ thinnest phone in the Apple line. The authors noted that in the new devices of the brand there⁤ is no place for a​ tray​ intended for physical SIM cards. Thus, cellular communication can only be configured using eSIM.

Journalists noted that‌ Apple will abandon physical SIM cards in a number of countries, but their list‌ is not disclosed.
