Apple It already has a date for the launch of its first mixed reality glasses, the Vision Pro. The company has announced that the viewer will begin to be available from next February 2; Users will also be able to start purchasing it on January 19.
The launch, at first, will only take place in the US market. There is still no date for its arrival in other parts of the world, including Europe. It is not even certain, based on the little information shared by the company, that this first device will end up leaving the North American country. At least, in the short term. The device, with which the apple company aspires to make its way into a segment that, until now, it had not explored, will arrive with a price of $3,500. Much superior to that of the Quest glasses, developed by Meta and the main dominators of the VR market.
The Vision Pro are designed so that the user can use them for both work and leisure. They incorporate a wheel with which it is possible to control the level of immersion and, in this way, the user always has visible, if they want, the real space in which they are located. The company is very clear, as it expressed, that the augmented reality functionality of the glasses (the possibility of superimposing digital information on the real environment) is one of the great strengths of the product.
The Vision Pro will be compatible with more than one million applications for iPhone and iPad. In addition to about 250 games present on the Apple Arcade platform.
