“Debts are paid”the Argentine president wrote this Thursday in X, Javier Mileyby sharing the cover of the newspaper El Cronista that reported the payment.
The president also responded in X to various news reports reported by different disbursement amountswhich range between 4,200 and 4,800 million dollars.

There was no official communication from the Ministry of Economy nor of Argentine Central Bank to report the details of the operation. The payment corresponds to interest and principal maturities of Bonares and Globalsbonds restructured in 2020.
It is about the first expiration of this year 2025, the year in which Argentina will face payments in foreign currency for more than 20 billion dollars, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CPO)after years of being mired in massive debts.
