An experienced specialist spoke about options for the national team. He said that he had personal conversations with Eddie Israfilov during training:
“There was a negative perception of him after the red card he received against Belgium. I meant that. When I brought Eddie in, I spoke to him on the first day. I said his move was not well received by the public. You must understand that you are in the national team. You compete under our national flag. You must respect all these attributes. Israfilov also took our conversation well. I think that he showed himself well in the game.”
Asadov also appreciated the performance of the new players invited to the national team:
