The Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan (STDA) held an event dedicated to World Theater Day, STDA reported to Day.Az.
The event was attended by prominent theater figures, representatives of creative youth, and fans of theatrical art.
In her speech at the evening, the executive secretary of STDA, Aida Gafarova, congratulated theater workers on their professional holiday, and also spoke about the history of the establishment of World Theater Day.
Further, within the framework of the project “Qonaq teatr” (Guest Theatre), implemented by the Ministry of Culture and the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan, the team of the Gusar State Lezgin Drama Theater presented the production “Adət”.
The play is based on the work of Turkish playwright and writer Turgut Ozakman.
After the show, the theater director, Honored Cultural Worker Faig Gardashov and the director of the performance, Honored Artist Khazar Ganjali were awarded honorary diplomas.
