Three people who were carrying out illegal cosmetic operations and illegal trafficking of unapproved pharmaceutical and medical technology products were arrested in Thessalonikiafter an operation by the Economic Police of Northern Greece, to a company providing vocational training services.
As it turned out, two womena beautician and her assistant, during a seminar, performed medical aesthetic procedures, without having the required license.
In fact, they used products originating from third countries, which, according to National Medicines Agency (E.O.F.) are medicinal preparations without marketing authorization in Greece.
In particular, these are illegally trafficked products which are not approved, are not considered safe and their use may endanger the health of their users.
They also used medical devices, which are not specially markedat least CE, in order to be available on the Greek market.
From the investigations, it was found, among others, 4,615 euros, illegal pharmaceutical preparations of various brands, composition and content, without marketing authorization in Greece and illegal medical deviceswithout special marking, which cannot be made available on the Greek market.
At their expense as well as at the expense of the two co-owners of the company, of whom one was located and arrestedwas formed case file for falsification of a medical procedure, harmful drugs and violation of pharmaceutical legislation.
The preparations will be sent for examination to the E.O.F., who will be informed about the imposition of administrative sanctions.
