The British singer will release his fifth album Subtract on May 5, 2022 and begins a European tour with a single date in Paris in April.

These events have “finally changed the way I see music and art. Writing songs is my therapy.” The hardships that Ed Sheeran went through led him to use songwriting to “give a meaning” to his feelings. “I wrote without thinking about what the songs would be, I just wrote what came. And in just over a week, I’ve replaced a decade of work with my deepest, darkest thoughts.” he confided.
During her second pregnancy, Ed Sheeran’s wife Cherry Seaborn learned she had a tumor. Disease impossible to treat before birth said the singer without giving news of the recovery of his wife since giving birth in May 2022. In February 2022, his best friend, Jamal Edwards died suddenly of a heart attack due to an excessive mixture of cocaine and alcohol at the age of 31. In April, Ed Sheeran goes to court. The singer will be on tour from March 23. The first dates will take place in the United Kingdom and then, on April 2, he will play at the Accor Arena. In addition, like the singer Adele, Ed Sheeran would have refused to perform at the coronation of King Charles in May.
