In the second episode of tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Ask the Stars’ (written by Seo Sook-hyang/directed by Park Shin-woo), which aired at 9:20 p.m. on the 5th, tourist Dinosaur (played by Lee Min-ho) and Commander Eve Kim (played by Gong Hyo-jin) set foot on the space station. He succeeded in performing surgery on mice for the first time, presenting new possibilities to humanity.
Dinosaur and Eve Kim docked at the space station and were surprised to see a pair of fruit flies sitting on the handle before opening the hatch. As the fruit flies secretly boarded the spacecraft and attempted to mate in zero gravity, Eve Kim, who could not miss the sight, forgot to open the hatch and was completely absorbed in the fruit flies.
The dinosaur felt a different emotion when he saw Eve Kim, who always seemed strict, in a different and unfamiliar way. Eve Kim’s words that there is no rule more important than protecting life and creating life in the universe deeply resonated with the heart of Dinosaur, an obstetrician and gynecologist who creates new life.
As the relationship between dinosaurs and Eve Kim, who have similar values about life, grows closer, the hatch opens, and a welcome meeting with space scientists Kang Kang-soo (played by Oh Jeong-se), Minna Lee (played by Lee Cho-hee), and Lee Seung-jun (played by Heo Nam-joon) takes place. The dinosaur that greeted the three scientists gradually adapted to life in space, making us even more curious about its future daily life.
Meanwhile, the test subject, male mouse No. 1, suddenly suffered a heart attack, creating tension at the space station. Dinosaur and Eve Kim, who were watching this, eventually opened the mouse’s chest and struggled to massage its heart for the first time in zero gravity. As this was the first surgical operation to be performed in an environment completely different from Earth, everyone watched with bated breath, and as the mouse’s heart finally began to beat again, the two felt a strong shiver.
At the same time, the relationship between dinosaurs and Eve Kim rapidly grew closer, arousing interest. Eve Kim expressed her gratitude to the dinosaur, who had always treated her as a child, saying, “I’m so glad to have you in the universe.” The dinosaur’s heart, which made a strange expression as it watched Eve Kim’s bright smile, also began to beat violently, suggesting that his mind was changing.
Meanwhile, the secret mission given to the space tourist dinosaurs was also revealed and caught people’s attention. They must secretly retrieve the eggs of MZ Group’s daughter-in-law Na Min-jeong (played by Baek Eun-hye), who suffered from infertility due to her dead husband’s distorted sperm, and attempt artificial insemination in space. However, one wonders whether the dinosaur whose egg was stolen by Kang Kang-soo before the mission could actually solve this task in space.
Meanwhile, according to Nielsen Korea, a viewership rating research company, episode 2 of ‘Ask the Stars’ recorded a viewership rating of 3.9% among paid households nationwide. This is a 0.6 percentage point increase from the 3.3% viewership rating recorded in episode 1.
