The Ukrainian authorities denounced this Tuesday new attacks by the Russian Army against the capital, kyiv, and the city of Kharkivin the east of the country, in an intensification of attacks, as the third anniversary of the start of the invasion approaches, which began on February 24, 2022 by order of the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
The head of the Military Administration of the City of kyiv, Serhiy Popko, has communicated a woman dead and four injured, most of them from injuries from explosives, after debris fell on the roof of a multi-story residential building and on a daycare center. Likewise, the mayor of kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, has indicated that an unexploded rocket warhead has been found in one of the apartments, so residents are being evacuated from the buildings, as stated on his Telegram channel.
For his part, the mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terejov, has pointed out that the attacks in the city have reached an area of residential buildings, where the entrance to a home has been completely destroyed. “Now rescuers are trying to remove the rubble to find people below. Furthermore, in one of the most affected areas (…) there is no electricity and, in part, water. “The relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences of enemy shelling,” he explained.
