A year after a mid-show incident injured a child, Texas-based Sky Elements is showcasing its commitment to safety and spectacle with what is being touted as the largest drone light display in the United States.

Sky elements has since undertaken a comprehensive review of its operational procedures.”Safety is always on our mind, first and foremost,” the spokesperson explained. “We make sure that everything we do has good exclusion zones. And, we’ve also redesigned our commanding control software the last year. That really has made so much safety improvements.”
The company’s efforts to regain public trust appear to be resonating with attendees. While reflecting on the past year, India McVey, a lifelong Austin resident, emphasized the importance of personal growth and introspection. “That’s a really hard one. The takeaway I think is people really need to do some self-healing and search for themselves for real,” she said.
For others,the New Year’s celebration offered a welcome return to familiar surroundings. Tomas Louthan, visiting from the Czech Republic with his wife, shared his fondness for the city. “We used to live hear back in 2016 and 2017. We made a lot of friends here and we love this city,” he noted.
