Australia announced squad for T20 series against Pakistan. They are surprised by the announcement of the 13-member team. The captain’s name has not been announced yet. At the same time, the selectors of Australia did not keep any cricketer from the Test team.
After Pat Cummins stepped down from the T20 format, Mitchell Marsh took over as the captain. However, since Marsh is in the Test team, the selectors have to think about new leadership. As such, Glenn Maxwell’s potential as an experienced cricketer is strong.
Three pacers Xavier Bartlett, Spencer Johnson and Nathan Ellis returned to the team for the series against Pakistan. Left-arm pacer Johnson has also returned to the field and played a match in the domestic ODI Cup.
Australia’s series against Pakistan starts on November 14 and ends on November 18. Test series against India starts on November 22. None of the Test cricketers have been kept in the T20 team to keep their preparation smooth. Assistant coach Andrey Borovec will be responsible for the team in this series.
