New York: ‘Ventilator’ removed from writer Salman Rushdie who was seriously injured in a stabbing in America. His condition has improved to the point of speaking.

Salman Rushdie participated in a recent event in New York City, USA. Then Harry Mattar, 24, from New Jersey, went on stage and stabbed Salman Rushdie with a knife.
The neck and abdomen were severely stabbed with a knife. Doctors had said that Rushti, who was admitted to the intensive care unit, was in critical condition and was likely to lose his sight. Yesterday, Rushti was removed from the ventilator. His condition has improved to the point of speaking. However, he is being monitored in the intensive care unit.
