Authorities make Surf City El Salvador ISA World Master Surfing Championship official

This morning, the Ministry of Tourism of El Salvador made official the organization of the Surf City El Salvador ISA World Master Surfing Championship, which will take place on El Sunzal beach, in La Libertad, from October 18 to 24.

More than 90 experienced surfers from more than 20 countries will gather in this world-class tournament, competing for the coveted gold medals.

Among the notable attendees, the executive director of the International Surfing Association (ISA), Bob Fasulo, said: “The masters is a very important event for us because it is the demonstration of our heritage.”

American surfer Tom Curren also expressed his enthusiasm: “The waves are wonderful. We feel very welcome. I recommend El Salvador for surfing, sightseeing and fun. “It is a wonderful place.”

For his part, Salvadoran surfer Stanley Hernández thanked the Government for its support and highlighted the role of the Minister of Tourism, who is also a surfer: “She has supported us a lot, she understands what surfing is about.”

Finally, the Minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, stated: “From day one, President Nayib Bukele had the vision of promoting surfing in the country. “Now we are talking about eight surf tournaments organized with the ISA.”
