A passenger of a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw was killed after being hit by a Dhaka-bound Ena Paribahan passenger bus in Kaliganj upazila of Gazipur. Another teenager was injured.
The accident took place on Tuesday (April 25) around 11:30 am in Moolgaon area of the bypass road of the upazila. The name and address of the deceased teenager was not found. But the age is 17 years. Injured Miraj is the son of Jalal Mia of Tongi area of Gazipur.
Kaliganj Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Fazlul Haque told Jago News that a Dhaka-bound Ena Paribahan passenger bus leaving Sylhet at around 11:30 a.m. hit the autorickshaw. The teenager in the autorickshaw was killed on the spot. At this time Miraj was injured.
The SI also said that after the incident, the bus and the driver of Khatak Ena Paribahan were detained by the locals. But the helper of the bus escaped. The accident autorickshaw and the body of the deceased are in police custody.
