Autumn Durgo Festival ends today with ablution

Today, the biggest event of the Bengali Sanatan religionists will end all the events of Sharidiya Durgotsav with the idol abdication.

Before this, all the classical worship of Durga Puja has been completed in the temple-mandap through the dedication of the mirror. This year, the Navami-Dashmi Tithi coincides with the main Durga Puja being held on the same day.

Preparations and accessories for the dedication have been going on in the temple since Sunday (October 13) morning. Sharidiya Durgotsav will end in mid.

According to Sanatan Dharma followers, Mahamaya Goddess Durga came to mortal world riding on a wave. He is now going back to Kailash after riding the ghot. All the classical pujas on the tenth day of Durga Puja have already been completed to bid farewell to the goddess. Mahanavami Puja starts at 6.10 am on Saturday morning. After that, at 8:26, the ritual worship of Dashami started. According to the rules of the calendar and scriptures, this year the ninth and tenth dates also fall together. So the devotees offered flowers on Navami and Dasami on the same day. On the 10th, after offering the darpan of the goddess, preparations are made to bid farewell to the goddess in the temple-mandap.

The main pavilions and temples of the capital, including the Dhakeshwari National Temple, will worship the Goddess today on Sunday. After that, there will be vermilion play and idol worship.

The countdown for this year’s Durgotsava began on October 2 through Mahalaya. From that day the ritual of worship started. After that, the five-day Durgotsavam which started last Wednesday from Shashti, will end on Sunday with the dedication of idols. Goddess Durga has to wait another year for this festival.

Meanwhile, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has taken a special security plan across the country to ensure a festive and smooth procession. Dog Squad, Bomb Disposal Unit, Crimescene Team and SWAT Team are ready for special security on the occasion of Dasami procession and immersion.

According to the DMP, the possible route for the procession is – Dhakeshwari National Temple exiting Palashi Mor – Jagannath Hall – Central Shaheed Minar – Doel Chatwar – High Court Battala – Government Employees Hospital – Police Headquarters – Nagar Bhavan – Golapshah Shrine – Bangabandhu Square – Gulisthan – Nawabpur. Level Crossing – Nababpur Road – Mansi Hall Crossing – Rathkhola Crossing – Raisaheb Bazar Crossing – Shankharibazar – Jagannath University – Sadarghat Bata Crossing – Patuatuli Crossing and Sadarghat Terminal Crossing and will end at Wiseghat.

Along with normal security, traffic police will also be deployed on the occasion of Vijaya procession and idol worship. Three control rooms have been set up at Dhakeshwari National Temple, Palashi Mor and Bahadur Shah Park area. Three watch towers have been installed at Palashir Mor, Roy Saheb Bazar and Wise Ghat. A special request has been made to the concerned to follow the scheduled time and route by DMP.
