Puducherry: Children’s Day was celebrated in a Kindergarten run under Department of Housing, Bharathidasan College for Women, Puducherry.
On this occasion coloring, masquerade, kolam, modeling in clay, writing and puzzle competitions were conducted for the school children.
The awarding ceremony for the winners was held yesterday in the college campus. Alamelu welcomed Mangai. College Principal Rajishukumar presided. Verbina Jayaraj, Pro-Secretary, School Education Department, gave away prizes to the kindergarteners who won the competitions and spoke.
Josephin Nirmala Mani, head of Department of Real Estate, congratulated. This was followed by a children’s art show.
The coordinators Mallikeswari, Alamelu Mangai, Professors of Department of Land Studies and school teachers made the arrangements for the festival.
