Azerbaijan and a Chinese company Huawei are considering the possibility of creating a data center based on renewable energy sources.
According to Day.Az, the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan announced this Parviz Shahbazov X wrote on his social network page.
“At a meeting with the President of Public Relations of Huawei in China, Kai Song, we discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of green energy with a company that represents progressive technological solutions. In the context of Azerbaijan’s implementation of projects to create green energy corridors and fiber optic cables between Europe and Asia, we discussed the possibility of creating a data center based on renewable energy sources with Huawei,” he wrote.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is conducting a number of negotiations with Chinese companies in the field of renewable energy sources. Azerbaijan is discussing opportunities for cooperation with China in the field of renewable energy sources, energy-saving systems, grid strengthening, green energy exports, offshore wind energy, supply of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cable, and there is a wide exchange of views on studying the latest practices.
Chinese companies are showing interest in participating in large-scale activities to realize the huge potential of renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan, and investment opportunities for the construction of renewable energy plants in Azerbaijan are being assessed.
Recently it became known that Azerbaijanis will begin to use more renewable energy.
