The Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND) under the State Service for Antimonopoly Regulation and Control of the Consumer Market under the Ministry of Economy has adopted a new state standard AZS 962:2024 “green business management systems“.
Day.Az reported this on Friday with reference to the State Service.
The new state standard includes features of minimizing the negative impact of enterprises and organizations on the environment, rational use of resources and environmental responsibility.
In addition, the standard will encourage the implementation of key principles such as green financial management, sustainable supply chain, environmental sustainability and environmental innovation into the management systems of organizations.
The above state standard was discussed in the technical committees for standardization “Conformity Assessment” (AZSTAND/TK 08) and “Ecology” (AZSTAND/TK 09) within the framework of the draft standard presented by the “Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs) and was adopted on the basis of the general consent and submitted for approval to the institute.
