The Azerbaijani community met with members of the Dutch Parliament.
This was reported by the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, Day.Az reports.
“In the section “International Security” of the program, reflecting the plans of the Dutch government for the period of its powers, the liberation of Azerbaijani territories from occupation is designated as the “seizure of Nagorno-Karabakh”. Our compatriots in the Netherlands expressed serious dissatisfaction with this, Azerbaijani diaspora organizations made statements. Union of Azerbaijani Women The Netherlands “Ana Weten” sent an appeal to the Dutch parliament for a meeting and prepared a petition. The appeal received a positive response, and members of the Dutch parliament’s commission on work with foreign countries met with the Azerbaijani community. Members of parliament from various parties took part in the meeting. Raymond de Roon (PVV), Isa Kahraman (NSC), Dogukan Ergin (DENK) and chairman of the commission Jesse Claver (GroenLinks-PvdA),” the message reads.
According to the information, at the meeting it was noted that the Dutch state, parliament, and media should take an objective position regarding the Karabakh conflict and Azerbaijan’s victory in the Patriotic War. Members of parliament were invited to Azerbaijan to get acquainted with the facts on the ground.
