Baku Cinema Breeze brings together masterpieces of world cinema under one roof”/>
With the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Cinema Agency, a major film festival will be held in Azerbaijan from October 2 to 8 for the first time Baku Cinema Breezeaimed at developing the audiovisual industry, the department’s press service told Day.Az.
The opening ceremony of the event will take place on October 2 at the Heydar Aliyev Center. Baku Cinema Breeze will be held within the framework of the Ministry of Culture’s “Creative Azerbaijan” project.
Baku Cinema Breeze will play the role of a unified network for demonstrating the masterpieces of world cinema, uniting a number of well-known festivals that have until now been organized separately.
The event will be attended by heads of relevant government agencies, representatives of the creative sector, international and local organizations, hundreds of creative people, companies and public associations.
The Baku Cinema Breeze festival will bring together representatives of the film industry from the USA, Canada, India, the Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Portugal, the UAE, Greece, Korea, Georgia, Estonia and other countries, as well as famous figures in world cinema.
As part of the festival, Omarket (film market of Eastern countries) will be organized, which will play the role of an important platform for presenting films from Eastern countries to the world. The opening will take place on October 3 at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
During the festival, film screenings will be organized for residents and guests of the capital, as well as for all film lovers, at the Nizami cinema centers, CineMastercard Azerbaijan, YARAT Contemporary Art Space, Kapellhouse Baku, Landmark and YAY Gallery.
The purpose of the event is to popularize Azerbaijan as the center of the region’s film industry, develop film culture and unite the local ecosystem under one roof.
