In Hyderabad-Telangana, a court has refused to order the jailing of three people who were arrested on charges of negotiating with ruling party MLAs to switch parties.

In Telangana, Telangana Rashtriya Samithi is ruling under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrasekhara Rao. Here, there was an allegation that four MLAs who joined the party changed the party by paying crores of rupees.

Regarding this, the ruling party MLA, Rohit Reddy, in his complaint to the police, said, ‘They forced me to switch parties by giving me 100 crore rupees.

They also said that they will give the contract of central government works. If they refused, they threatened that cases would be pursued through the Enforcement Department and the CBI.

Cyberabad police registered a case and arrested three persons namely Satish Sharma, Nandakumar and Simhayaji Swamy.

After investigation, the three were produced before the Special Anti-Corruption Court and requested to be jailed.

After reading the case details, the judge released them saying that ‘legal procedures were not followed in arresting the three’ and ordered to issue a ‘notice’ to the three asking for an explanation regarding the charge.
