The artist, whose real name is Barry Alan Pincus, announced the postponement on Wednesday, explaining the decision was made on the advice of his doctors to ensure he’s fully prepared for an arena tour slated to begin later in february.

“I’m doing great after surgery and recovering very well. Exercising and spending time in the studio which is fantastic,” Manilow shared on Facebook.”However, based on my doctor’s instructions and recommendations, we have decided to postpone my performance dates at the Westgate Las Vegas from February 12th to the 21st so that I can focus on my recovery and planning for the tour.”

Manilow first revealed his lung cancer diagnosis last year,reassuring fans at the time that the condition was treatable and he anticipated returning to his residency at the Westgate Hotel in Las Vegas around Valentine’s Day weekend.
