It is also said that through discussion in the meeting of the advisory council, the draft of the Maximum Age Limit Ordinance, 2024 for Direct Recruitment in Government, Autonomous, Semi-Autonomous, Statutory Government Authorities, Public Non-Financial Corporations and Self-Governed Organizations has been given principle and final approval.
As a result, the maximum age limit for entering the service of all cadres of Bangladesh Civil Service will be fixed at 32 years. Besides, the maximum age limit for entering all government jobs outside the scope of Bangladesh Civil Service will be fixed at 32 years.
According to the notification, in the case of autonomous, semi-autonomous organizations, self-recruitment rules will be applicable subject to necessary adaptations. In the case of Defense Services and Law Enforcement Forces, respective recruitment rules will remain in force.
