The representative of the North America and Oceania Department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that the United States should really think about its responsibility in the Ukrainian crisis and not add fuel to the fire.
The Chinese diplomat added, in a press conference ahead of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s visit to China: “The United States must really think about its responsibility in the Ukrainian crisis, not add fuel to the fire, and not use this crisis as an opportunity to achieve gains.”
The Chinese diplomat called on the American side to stop discrediting Russian-Chinese relations.
He continued: “The United States may not continue attempts to distort the normal relations between China and Russia, and provoke confrontation between the two blocs, and of course it must not at all distort China’s reputation and place responsibility on it.”
The Chinese diplomat stressed that the Ukrainian issue does not pose any problem in relations between his country and the United States.
