Belarusian border guards did not allow into Lithuania, whose car had a sticker with the inscription “USSR”, as well as images of a hammer and sickle, the State Border Guard Service of Lithuania (SBGS) reported.
A 33-year-old man crossed the Belarusian-Lithuanian border on December 16 through the Medininkai checkpoint (Kamenny Log on the Belarusian side) in a personal Peugeot car.
“On the windshield, in a prominent place, the Soviet hammer and sickle symbol was attached and displayed for all to see against the background of the territory of the USSR outlined in red. In Lithuania, the display of such a symbol is prohibited,” explained the SOGG press service.
As a result, border guards prevented Belarusians from entering Lithuania.
