Since its launch, the INDH has continued to provide significant support for education by fighting against the obstacles hampering the academic excellence of children from highly rural localities in an equitable approach that allows these children to enjoy the same rights as those in urban areas.
Thus, the province has, to date, some 115 preschool units, created between 2019 and 2023 and benefiting 2,669 learners, including 1,252 girls.
The generalization of preschool, which is part of the implementation of the Program to boost human capital for rising generations of the 3rd phase of the INDH, continues at a sustained pace, promoting the development of cognitive and emotional capacities of early childhood as well as their sensorio-motor and spatio-temporal skills.
All of these units were set up within the framework of the “Support for preschool in rural areas” axis in close collaboration with the Moroccan Foundation for the Promotion of Preschool Education which ensures the management of these units via a program for the selection and training of educators in the field of development of sensorimotor, cognitive, emotional and social skills of children.
In a statement to MAP, Amal Massadi of the Social Action Division of Béni Mellal stressed that the INDH, as part of the Program to boost human capital for rising generations, is continuing the generalization of preschool at an intense pace to cover the all the municipalities of the province, noting that the CPDH contributes to the development of early childhood by projecting itself into the future through anticipation of the fight against learning difficulties among these children.
For his part, Ahmed Dougani, provincial head of the Moroccan Foundation for the Promotion of Preschool Education in Béni Mellal, stressed that the generalization of preschool is part of a partnership between the Foundation, the National Initiative for Human Development and the Ministry of National Education, recalling that the Foundation offers all the conditions for development to children through educational activities promoting their openness and development and other, practical ones such as modeling, drawing , games and others.
Preschool is a decisive stage in the child’s life in the sense that it determines the smooth running of each learner’s educational journey and fights against inequalities in access to education.
