Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy and Clotilde Courau. A marriage that has lasted for 20 years and which the Savoy heir spoke about to Verissimo in today’s episode, Sunday 17 September. “I don’t regret a second of my life with her. We grew up together and we are accomplices. In 20 years of marriage there have also been difficult moments, but there have been more good moments”, he tells Silvia Toffanin who points out to him how the newspapers often portray him in the company of some friends and not his wife.
“I have many friends”, he replies, underlining that he has “great trust in Clotilde and she in me, after 20 we have reached the right maturity”. And answering the question if he would forgive a betrayal, Emanuele Filiberto states: “I would forgive because the love that exists is much stronger than an escapade”. And when asked if they have ever forgiven each other, he replies: “I ask for forgiveness every day.”
