Malliyur: Bhagavatahamsa Jayanti was celebrated in Malliyur with the merit of Bhagavatamritsatra on the eleventh day. Jayanti Conference Supreme Court Advocate J. Sai Deepak inaugurated. Swami Chidanandapuri delivered the blessing speech. Rawalji Iswaraprasad Namboothuri, head priest of Badrinath Temple, received the Shankarasmriti Award of the Malliyur Adhyatthmika Peeth and the Malliyur Ganesha Award for the arts was given to musician Ayamkudi Mani. Malliyur Parameswaran Namboothiri presented the awards.
The Shankarasmriti Puraskaram consists of one lakh rupees, a plaque and a citation. The Malliyur Ganesha Award is worth Rs 10,001, a plaque and a citation.
Bhagavatacharya Pullurmann Raman also conferred the ‘Bhagavata Vaidooryam’ honor on Namboothiri.
Malliyur Parameswaran Namboothiri, Venmani Krishnannamboothiri, Marangad Muralikrishnan and Guruvayur Radhakrishna Iyer were Yajnacharyas and more than 40 scholars participated in the inn lecture series. The closing of the inn and dedication of the recital took place on Jayanti Day. A birthday party was also prepared.
