Joe Bidenpresident of the United States, released a plan to broaden the access to contraceptive products over-the-counter, during the final stretch for the November 5 elections, where the right to abortion is a key issue.
Through a statement, the 81-year-old president assures that this action will help ensure that hundreds of thousands of women have access to contraceptives for free.
“This new action will help ensure that millions of women with private health insurance can access the free contraceptives they need.”
It is worth noting that this proposal is seeking to expand the free contraceptive coverage for 52 million women of reproductive age beneficiaries of private health insurance.
“Today our administration proposes the largest expansion of contraceptive coverage in more than a decade,” said the current vice president and candidate of the Democratic Party to the White HouseKamala Harris, through a statement.
