Two are the strong words that Joe Biden has, in these days, launched to the media: “It’s not fair” and “enough, enough, enough”. The “It’s not fair” refers to the sad news coming from Russia where, according to its spokesperson, Alexei Anatolievich Navalny Vladimir Putin’s most important political opponent, a lawyer and indeed a corruption activist, is dying in prison from a hunger strike.

The “Enough, Enough, Enough” is aimed at the sale of weapons after yet another shooting that has bloodied the country. “It is time to stop the country’s second epidemic, that of armed violence, a national shame. Just pray to the dead, it’s time to act ”. Too many have been the deaths from “random” shootings across the country not to activate the administration of Joe Biden and the president himself in the search for a law that will stop the killing continues.

For the Russian dissident, it seems that nothing can be done at the moment, if not to call for an independent medical examination. Unfortunately, the Kremlin is not really given to know what his real conditions are, while Biden has already attacked for weapons.

Instead, something can be done immediately for weapons. In the new (albeit limited) anti-weapons measures, greater control was required over the sale of kits to manufacture weapons at home without a serial number. While, the strongest project, the one on assault weapons, is still blocked in Congress by the Republicans. The project is stopped but not the escalation of violence.
