Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Submitted his Resignation Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar resigns; JDU broke ties with BJP

by time news

Bihar assembly elections were held in 2020. While the BJP-JDU formed an alliance and competed in that election, the BJP-JDU alliance was ruling in Bihar for the last 2 years. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been unhappy with the BJP since the beginning. This dissatisfaction arose because the United Janata Dal was not given a place in the central cabinet. The BJP-backed National Democratic Alliance has been in power in the state so far, but this alliance has broken down today. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has resigned. Nitish Kumar Resignation Meets Governor Bahu Selukhan and submits his resignation letter. Looking at the political activities of United Janata Dal which has broken alliance with BJP, it can be clearly said that now Nitish Kumar will form the government along with RJD.

Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal had earlier said it was ready for an alliance if Bihar Chief Minister and JTU chief Nitish Kumar quits the alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party. As a result, it can be expected that parties including JD(U), RJD, Congress and Left will meet together in the upcoming parliamentary elections. It is also said that Nitish Kumar has come to the decision to quit the BJP now, keeping in mind the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Keeping this in mind, Nitish Kumar is said to be extending a hand of friendship to the Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress parties.

However, all these scenes are not new to the people of Bihar. Going through the pages of the state’s history, Nitish Kumar has left the BJP twice in the last 22 years. The most surprising thing about this is that such decisions of Nitish are being made in the run-up to the elections.

Nitish Kumar quit the BJP before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Nitish, who formed the government in Bihar in 2005 with the BJP, surprised everyone in 2012 as well. He voted for Pranab Mukherjee in the presidential election even though he was in the National Democratic Alliance. After this, in 2013, when the BJP announced Modi as its prime ministerial candidate, Nitish Kumar ended the 17-year relationship. There were expectations as to whom Nitish Kumar’s party would support in the presidential election this time as well. However, JTU supported Draupadi Murmu.
