Nalanda: A strange incident has come to light from Katrisarai in Nalanda district of Bihar. A revenue employee set fire to the CO’s car in the zonal office here. The matter is said to be of resentment over not getting leave. At present the police has arrested the accused employee. The incident is said to have happened late Saturday night.
CO Dheeraj Prakash’s car set on fire
According to the information, there was no one in Katrisarai block cum zonal office at the time of the incident. Due to Dussehra fair, all the police and officers were on duty. Taking advantage of this, the accused employee set fire to the car of CO Dheeraj Prakash. The car was completely burnt to ashes. The fire also spread to the surrounding area, causing some damage.
Police said that the name of the accused employee is Satendra Prasad. He is posted as a revenue employee in Darveshpura Panchayat. Originally he is a resident of Ibrahimpur village of Kako police station area of Jehanabad district. The police have arrested him from his house.
A team was formed to investigate
Rajgir DSP Sunil Kumar Singh said that on the instructions of the SP, a team was formed to investigate the case. After checking the CCTV cameras installed nearby, a suspicious person was seen. He was identified as revenue employee Satendra Prasad. Police have also recovered a Bolero and two mobile phones from him. During interrogation he confessed to his crime.
According to the police, Satendra Prasad told that he was not getting leave, so he set the CO’s car on fire in anger. During police interrogation, he told that he was troubled by the workload. He was not getting leave even to get treatment for his illness. He had an altercation with the CO regarding this matter. That’s why he got angry and set the car on fire.
A few days ago the CO had reprimanded
However, sources say that a few days ago a child had died due to drowning in Munshi Payan. That day Satendra Prasad was missing from Katrisarai. The CO had reprimanded him for this matter. It is also being said that he is already surrounded by controversies. It is alleged that he often quarreled with people coming to the office. Even during his posting in Silav and Islampur, complaints of assault and abuse were received against him.
