A graffiti about death sounds, a priori, gloomy. However, the fifth edition of the Adiós? pursues the opposite. Namely: “Assess the artist’s ability to express his emotions graphically, offering an optimistic and reassuring way where he captures the idea of death not as an end, but as a member of a life cycle.”
Bilbao is the city chosen this year to celebrate this contest organized by Sarria-Funetxea, the funeral services company with centers in Bilbao, Getxo and Mungia. The Muelle de los Ingleses, in front of the Guggenheim Museum, will host the contest this Saturday, June 17, from 9:30 in the morning to 2:00 p.m. Graffiti artists will carry out their works in full view of passers-by, lively capturing their concept of death in society. The works will be voted by the public anonymously to choose the winner.
