The Paris region and the Mediterranean coast are classified in orange, indicating difficult traffic, this Friday the 18th.
Green everywhere this weekend, except this Friday. As the All Saints holidays begin, Bison Futé anticipates busy roads in some parts of the country. “This weekend also marks the start of the school holidays for Belgium and the Netherlands (southern zone). However, travel should not cause too much inconvenience for users on the country’s main roads.provides public service.
“Departures are expected to concentrate on Friday 18 October, with congestion expected in the Île-de-France and the Mediterranean coast”warns Smart Bison. In the direction of departures, slowdowns are expected on the Mediterranean area, in particular on the A7, A8 and A9 motorways from mid-afternoon until the evening. In Île-de-France, traffic will be a little heavier than usual on the A6 and A10 motorways from mid-afternoon.
In addition to these holiday departures, trips related to economic activity on Friday afternoons, home-work trips and the usual weekend departures will be added. It is therefore preferable to avoid traveling on the road in the afternoon, especially in case of bad weather. Bison Futé particularly recommends leaving Île-de-France before 2pm. Several options are also not recommended: avoid the A7 motorway, between Orange and Marseille, from 3pm to 9pm, the A8 motorway, between Aix-en-Provence and Italy, from 4pm to 8pm , or the A9 motorway, between 4pm and 8pm Nîmes and Montpellier, from 3pm to 7pm.
Some difficulties are expected on the roads on Friday.
