We are all familiar with red and yellow cards in football. Now the blue card can be launched with these two cards. Football’s governing body, the International Football Association Board (IFAB), may introduce the card from next season. This is reported by the British press Telegraph.

However, FIFA, the highest governing body of football, does not want to introduce this card in top-level football right now. They want to start experimentally first. If England’s Football Association (FA) agrees, blue cards could be introduced on a trial basis in lower competitions such as the FA Cup or League Cup.

In this regard, a statement on the FIFA page (FIFA Media) on the social media X (formerly Twitter) said, “The talk about the use of blue cards in top-level football is premature and wrong.” Any such method should be restricted to the lower levels if it is to be introduced experimentally.’

Blue cards are used for offenses between yellow and red cards. Players will be shown a blue card for bad behavior or fouls. As punishment, the player will be out of the field for 10 minutes. A player who has seen a blue card will be shown a red card if he sees a second blue card. Even if you get a yellow card and a blue card, it will be a red card.
