BOLZANO. After yesterday’s alarm, when around 6.15pm there was talk of a bomb in the bathrooms of the Brenner station,the man responsible for the panic created around the (perhaps) drastic circumstance.he was identified and afterward deported.
Tracked down by the police, he was found in an altered state. On the way to accompany him to the police offices, the man first attempted to take the gun away from one of the officers, and then attempted to wound two others – the person responsible, a 53-year-old of Moroccan origin, was clearly arrested.
Simultaneously occurring, for safety reasons, on the orders of the Police Commissioner of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano Paolo Sartori, after the railway convoy had been evacuated, railway traffic was interrupted and, for the time strictly necessary to guarantee the intervention in safety of the Bomb Squad, also the one on state road 12 and the motorway.
the person responsible for the gesture, later found to be resident in the Province of Lodi, in consideration of the gravity of what happened, was ordered to revocation of the Residence Permit with simultaneous Expulsion Decree from the National territory.
“The reckless gesture of this individual has created quite a few worries among travelers and created considerable inconvenience to rail and road traffic on the Italian-Austrian border”, then highlighted the Police Commissioner Paolo Sartori. “It was in fact necessary to interrupt the main road and railway dialog routes in order to guarantee maximum safety for citizens and travellers,especially during the intervention of the bomb squad. For thes reasons it was decided to proceed with the arrest and removal from our country of those who have repeatedly demonstrated, even violently, that they do not respect its laws and institutions”, he concluded.
