Primoz Roglic is not the only one who once skied professionally and today rides in the World Tour peloton. Anton Palzer followed a similar path and, curiously, they share a team at BORA hansgrohe.

The German team announced that it will extend the contract of Palzer, who at 30 years old considers he has room for progression. “My path in cycling continues, I haven’t reached my peak yet,” he said in a statement.
“I am very motivated to be a reliable teammate next season,” said the German, 10th in the recent Tour of Turkey. “But I also want to look for my opportunities and I am open to new adventures. It would be fun to participate in gravel sometime,” he concluded.
It is worth remembering that BORA considered the signing a “risky experiment” when they added him in 2021. Since then they extended his contract twice, confirming that things are going as expected with the skier turned cyclist.
