Mexico will not be a partner country of the Madrid International Tourism Fair (Fitur) in its 2025 edition, but until 2026, as confirmed by the federal secretary of the branch in an official statement.
The decision is made amid political tensions between Mexico y Spainwhich have generated various reactions in the sector.
According to him Tourism and Society Think Tank (TSTT), it will be Brazil that will take the place of Mexico as a partner country in the 45th edition of the fair, to be held in January 2025; The appointment will be made official in the coming days by the organizers of Feature and the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism.

Meanwhile, the current federal Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, confirmed that there will be participation of the national delegation in the 2025 fair, which will be held from January 22 to 26and that this distinction would be received in the 46th edition, which corresponds to the one that will be held in 2026.
