In Russia, the maximum rates for mortality and incidence of coronavirus have been updated. On Saturday, the COVID-19 operational headquarters reported 1,002 deaths. On Sunday, 34,303 infections were announced. The total number of deaths from coronavirus reached 223 312, cases – 7 992 687. In the Penza region, a criminal case has been opened against the acting Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the region, Grigory Kabelsky. He is suspected of accepting a bribe on an especially large scale (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Acting Governor Vladimir Melnichenko dismissed the Deputy Minister in connection with the loss of confidence. The ICR opened a criminal case in connection with the death of 18 people who were poisoned by methanol in Yekaterinburg. Two people were detained in connection with the poisoning. Markets of the city will be checked. In Klin, near Moscow, six children were hospitalized with signs of poisoning. The TFR began checking.
