“However, we must remember that security must remain a priority,” said Fikri Anray in his statement.
He assessed that the threat of cyber attacks will increase as the number of active internet users in the country increases.
Data from the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII) shows that the number of internet users in 2018 was 171.1 million people.
This number is estimated to increase to 215.6 million people in 2023. This means that more than 78 percent of Indonesia’s population are active internet users.
